Lord Lichfield
Patrick Anson (1939-2005), known professionally as Patrick Lichfield, became 5th Earl Lichfield in 1960. His role as official photographer at the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Wales in 1981 increased his standing as one of Britain’s best-known photographers, particularly of portraits of performers and society figures. Exhibitions of his work include a retrospective held at the Chris Beetles Gallery in 2007. He and Mark Boxer had worked together during the 1960s on Jocelyn Stevens’s society magazine, Queen.
