Clearly drawn for Vanity Fair in Leslie Ward's distinctive style, this undated portrait is inscribed in very faded writing with the sitter's name beneath the mount. Only 'Mr Arthur' can be clearly read, with the surname unclear. As a result, the identity of the sitter has not been confirmed.
