The spirit of St Louis (Billy Wilder, USA, 1957), adapted by Billy Wilder and others from Charles Lindebergh's 1954 Pulitzer Prize winning book of the same name.

The film follows Lindebergh's historic transatlantic flight in his Ryan Nyp monoplane, from its take off from Roosevelt Field, on 20 May 1927 to Le Bourget Field, Paris, on 21 May.
