Is Chris Beetles the same Dr Chris Beetles from The Pink Medicine Show?
Yes he is! Chris Beetles has been a performer and comedy script writer for radio and televsion including
series such as Doctor on the Go and The Pink Medicine Show written with Rob Buckman. Chris was a GP in a
large inner-London practice from 1970 until he retired in 1984 to open his first gallery in the West End
specialising in English watercolours. His personal taste and drive has contributed hugely to the now
thriving national and international market in illustrations and cartoons.
What is the difference between an original piece of art and a print?
An original painting or drawing is a unique work made by the artist. Original or fine art prints are
usually of a limited edition made with the direct involvement of the artist.
Mass produced photographic prints of artwork are not original or unique and therefore are less
valuable.
A sculpture can be either a unique or of a limited edition from an original made by the artist.
