Katie Blackmore, RBA ASWA (died 1950)

Katie Blackmore was a painter and illustrator of fairy subjects who lived in London and in various parts of Southern England. She exhibited at a number of leading venues, including the Royal Academy, the Royal Institute of Painters in Water-Colour, the Royal Scottish Academy, the Royal Hibernian Academy and the Carfax Gallery. She was elected an associate of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1922 (a full member three years later), and an associate of the Society of Women Artists in 1924. Her illustrations were published by Arthur Bell & Co Ltd.
