Alyssa Adams was born in Seychelles in 1980. Her early education was in Seychelles before moving to England to continue her studies in Surrey, and then Kingston University. When later studying at Chelsea College of Art, her paintings were chosen by the Lord Mayor of London to hang in London's City Hall.
She has since returned to Seychelles to live and paint permanently, with a particular flair for textile design. She demonstrated this with work for Air Seychelles as well as Mango House Hilton, where her kimonos can be found in each villa. More recently in 2022 she set up Alyssa Adams Designs, printing her work directly on to clothing for both children and adults.
She continually exhibits her range of watercolours, prints and postcards as well as hand silkscreened pareos and scarves at the Michael Adams gallery.
