Ethel Larcombe (active 1902-1905)
The painter and illustrator Ethel Larcombe was active in the West Country, living in Exeter in 1905, when she won a design competition in the Studio, and producing some postcards for the Clifton publisher E W Savory. She assimilated a number of styles which were prominent at the turn of the century, from the very general one of Art Nouveau to the very particular one of Kate Greenaway.
