Beetles Choice - 11 May 2024

As the Northern Lights became visible across most of Europe last night, we were reminded of the awe that nature inspires in us. In this painting, Keith Grant captures the magic of this almost mystical event, as the depth of the expansive night sky is truly felt. Where the camera or smartphone can often fail, such painting prevails in recording these special, fleeting moments.

This picture was dedicated by Keith to Joanna Lumley, a great patron of the gallery and enthusiast of his work - As well as a star in her own right!
