'Finished this last night, ‘colonnade’ a mews near Russell Square, the building at the end is the back of the Russell Hotel. I actually started this at the beginning of the year when there were no leaves on the tree, they were doing a lot of building work around the entrance so I had to wait to finish it. It was really hard to see what I was doing, even with my head torch! But I enjoyed trying to paint the slightly wet cobble stone road.'
