Our inaugural Beetles Choice of 2025 is prompted by the unmissable inauguration of Donald Trump last week in Washington DC.
Teetering between politician and celebrity, for a long time Trump has been ideal material for cartoonists everywhere, and in this artwork Jonathan Cusick has parodied both world leaders to perfection. Drawn with his familiar flair, the caricature culminates in the pinched pouts of both men. Cusick suggests the nature of their relationship moving forward, with the re-election of both the Republican and Labour parties into power.
As ever, we look forward to viewing political events of the new year through the lens of our talented cartoonists who capture it so well.
