'Cold nights in a warm atmosphere, my painting in Chinatown. I enjoyed the spirit of celebration with Chinese new year approaching soon, and back at home I attempted a night time view of my Islington back garden familiar view. It was really difficult as it felt too cold to open the window and also the sash cord’s broken so I could only see with no light on at all. Also hard to photograph these paintings, they look different in different lights! Have to take them to Chris Beetles Gallery and get expert photographer Giulio on the case!'
