Katharine Cameron celebrated her Gaelic heritage and illustrated books on both Gaelic poetry and ballads. This large watercolour of 'exhibition size', could refer to the famous traditional Scottish reel tune The Fairy Dance, by Nathaniel Gow (1763-1831).
