'It's quite sad because my neighbour has that garden [to the right]. He had all these pots of camellias and now he's given them all away. I think he feels he's too old, so he doesn't want to do the garden anymore – but it was absolutely incredible. It was at that time I was looking after [my grandson] Avery one day a week. On my days looking after him, when he eventually had his nap, I did a little drawing of him. So I painted myself drawing Avery and it was shortly after I finished the painting that he actually stopped having naps. So at the time I called it Avery's Springtime Nap.'
