On a travertine base measuring 3 x 30 x 18 inches.

Basia was the lover, model and continued inspiration for the Harpley girl. She lived with him during his most ‘bohemian’ times, after the departure of his first wife and before the determined arrival of his second Josephine, now his widow.
The idea for this size of bronze, a larger medium size, was during the late 1980’s in response to requests from the Chris Beetles Gallery. The edition has been sold entirely through the gallery.
