An annual exhibition at Chris Beetles Gallery, ‘The Illustrators’ is the largest and most popular annual event worldwide for cartoon and illustration collectors. This catalogue surveys the fascinating history of British illustration from 1870 to the present day. Particular highlights include chapters on ‘Victorian Illustrators and Cartoonists’ featuring works by John Tenniel, George Du Maurier and Walter Crane, such contemporaries as Helen Oxenbury, Michael Foreman, Nick Butterworth and Oliver Jeffers.
