Evelyn Stuart Hardy (1865-1935)
Like her brother Paul Hardy, Evelyn Stuart Hardy contributed to numerous periodicals in the 1890s, before making her name, in 1900, as a writer and illustrator of children's books. Her career encompassed military subjects in monochrome for The Illustrated London News (1889) and the Biblical watercolours included in Friends of Jesus (1949).
