Lyn Gray is an artist working in London. In 2015 and 2017 she exhibited work with the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. In 2020 she was the winner of The Chris Beetles Gallery Prize for Figurative Art at the New English Art Club, with her painting Hermione at Home, and Chris Beetles wrote:
She has a lively and spontaneous way with paint and stimulates consistently one’s imagination by investing her subjects with distinct personalities.
Hermione at Home is an artwork handled with dash and panache and skilfully rendered form. Lyn Gray has captured an element of personality in her sitter which arrests attention.
The artist shows us that Hermione is an old lady comfortable in herself and whose direct gaze interests and charms us. She is an enduring and strong image for our difficult times.
Lyn is a member of the Pastel Society, and in 2024 exhibited two works in the Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries. In December last year Lyn also exhibited work in a group open studio show at the Heatherley School of Fine Art.
