Vincent Lines, VPRWS RWA NEAC (1909-1968)
Painter and printmaker Vincent Lines was a close friend of Thomas Hennell, and the pair often painted together, especially in the countryside around Hennell’s home at Ridley in Kent. Appointed Principal of Horsham School of Art when still only in his mid twenties, he contributed to the Recording Britain project during the Second World War. After the war, he became Principal of Hastings School of Art and, later, Vice-President of the Royal Society of Painters in Water-Colours.
