In exploring a vein of British history and myth, David Bintley turned from Edward II to King Arthur, and produced a two-part ballet comprising Arthur Pendragon and Morte d’Arthur. As before, John McCabe provided the music and Peter J Davison and Jasper Conran the design. Birmingham Royal Ballet premiered Part 1 in 2000, and Part 2 a year later.
