Venezia
Pietro Annigoni produced this drawing of Piazza San Marco, the principal public square of Venice, in 1970, near the close of what may be considered his London Period'. The viewpoint of the beautifully spare composition is probably that of the terrace of the Caffè Florian, which was founded in 1720, and is the oldest café in Italy in continuous operation.
