No 107 Piccadilly, overlooking Green Park, was acquired by Nathan Mayer Rothschild in 1825 and the area became known as Rothschild Row. It remained within the Rothschild family until it passed to the Rosebery family. From the end of the 19th centruy until 1927 it was the home of the Savile Club and was then demolished to become part of the Park Lane Hotel. Schwabe has captured it in the 1920s, with a contemporary taxi at the kerb, passers by and a solitary figure standing in the doorway of 107.
