"A view of The Temple of Saturn & The Temple of Concord, Rome, signed and dated, ‘August 2, 1842’ and inscribed on the reverse of the mount ‘Temple of
Concord, Rome 1842’, measuring 54.4 x 40.2 cm was in the Cheney Collection.
In his Journal, 1842 (Rome) Cromek wrote: ‘I also made a series of large and very careful studies of the principal ruins in and near the Forum, two of the Arch of
Titus, Jupiter Stator, Temple of Concord, Portico of Octavia, Theatre of Marcellus etc. Dreadfully hot work it was sketching!’'
