In 1966, the BBC Home Service broadcast a production of The Road to Rome (1927), the first play by the American playwright, Robert Emmet Sherwood (1896-1955). It is a comedy about Hannibal's attempted invasion of Rome. Eric Fraser's image illustrated an introduction to the play in Radio Times by the producer, Archie Campbell (born 1905).
