It seemed to be a small farm for chickens were clucking about the yard and there were a few cows in a field ... They had meant to knock on the door but Mrs. O'Brien came out to meet them. She was a dark-haired rather fat woman. She beamed at the children and to their relief spoke without too much of a broque.
