'Had such a lovely time painting around St James’s and Mayfair, mainly in the sunshine! The one I painted of the magnolia outside St James’s church was tricky as I often had to wait for vans to come and go, but so lovely that bus drivers would stop leaving a gap so I could still see, and shout words of encouragement! Also wonderful that I could keep my wet canvases at Chris Beetles Gallery and get cups of tea in between painting...'
