Leo Frank Schuster (1852-1927) was a British patron of the arts, impresario and lover of music. He was of Jewish and German origin, educated at Eton, and worked initially in his father's bank. His homes in Westminster and Bray were meeting places for artists, writers and musicians including Walter Sickert, John Singer Sargent, and Sir Adrian Boult . He became a close friend of Gabriel Faure and Edward Elgar, as well as the poet Siegfried Sassoon,
