Herbert Cozens-Hardy (1838-1920)
Cozens-Hardy was called to the bar in 1862 and became Queens Counsel in 1882. From 1885-1899 he was Liberal MP for Norfolk. In the same year he became a Judge of the Chancery Division of the High Court of Justice, receiving the customary knighthood, and in 1901 was appointed a Lord Justice of Appeal and a Privy Councillor. In 1907 he became Master of the Rolls and was created Baron Cozens-Hardy of Lethingsett, Norfolk.
