Hunt never visited South Africa but produced several exhibited watercolours of Table Mountain in the Western Cape and the Drakensberg mountains in Natal to the east. He produced these using material supplied by his son Vernon Hunt CBE, who was an airline pilot and later Director of Control and Navigation at the Ministry of Aviation.
