'Finished this yesterday evening, last night there was a real sunset, at about 8.30 a red sun went down, disappearing behind the Cannon Street station building. I was quite peacefully finishing my painting and suddenly I was surrounded by serious photographers recording the sunset! It was amazing though, might do another one there sometime! I’ve only ever painted three sunset paintings ... I did a big one from Tower Bridge walkway when I was artist in residence there and they said that they were giving it to the Guildhall collection, not sure if that happened!'
