The flowers and trees and plants there are amazing, fantastic gardening, so much to paint, especially as I love the buildings around the gardens. I didn’t want to stand in the flower beds but felt I had to include the beautiful clump of Irises just behind me. I’ve been thinking a lot about the healing powers of flowers and plants, my mother used to talk to her plants...'
